Hello

Welcome and hello.

Blogging…. What’s that?? Well there is no better way to find out than to dive in head first. So I’ll start with a little bit about me.

I live in a beautiful country village in South Devon just outside Plymouth with my husband & cocker spaniel Jynx. I also have a grown up son who lives a few miles away. I grew up in the North Devon seaside village Westward Ho! and love to go home when I can.

I run my own cleaning business part time but my passion is knitting.

At the age of 5 I knitted my first square. Many squares, scarves & years later I was knitting my very first baby blankets & cardigans for my own expected arrival.

So did I carry on knitting?? No, from one dead end factory job to the next retail job..There must be more to life than this & it wasn't going to fall in my lap I had to make it happen.

Kwirky Knits happened by accident after a friend asked me to knit a head band, I posted a photo on Facebook & suddenly everyone wanted one & the orders were flooding in.

I've always been crafty & spent 15 years making cards & wedding invites, unfortunately due to a back injury I found sitting at a desk caused too much pain. At least you can sit & knit anywhere & that’s exactly what I do at every opportunity.

Kwirky Knits was opened at the start of 2015 & is growing faster than I ever could of hoped. I'm always bursting with new ideas & pattern designs, but with just two hands & a pair needles I strive to create my items to the the highest quality. 

The list of returning customers grows week on week & I'm so thankful & very grateful for the custom & support I receive. My Etsy store is always being re stocked with new items so please pop over for a browse.
