Looking for my mojo

Where oh where does my creativeness go??

Sometimes, when I'm all knitted out & my creativity has gone awol, I wander off looking for inspiration. Living on the coast certainly has a plus side......I'm off to the beach.

I was lucky to grow up in the beautiful coastal village of Westward Ho! I spent many hours, day & night, sat on the pebbles listening to the waves crash on the shore. Letting the salty air blow the cobwebs away & enjoying the quietness of my own company.

Hockings ice cream

I may be biased, but I also believe we have the best ice cream in the world there. Made locally in Appledore by a small family run business called Hockings est in 1928, it's heaven in a cone. If you are ever in North Devon I highly recommend you try their oyster.

Now living in Newton Ferrers near Plymouth, I miss the North Devon coast, we have our fair share of pretty beaches but there is no place like home.

Westward Ho!

Unfortunately a long beach walk usually requires me to spend the rest of the afternoon kipping on the sofa instead of creating something wonderful from my newly recovered crafting mojo.

But all is not lost...fresh from my snooze & itching to hear the clickity click of my needles, I did manage to create a little something from my inspirational walk on the beach, along with my sudden need for a caffeine kick....

So next time you are looking for inspiration or simply need to clear your head & find a little bit of inner peace, grab your coat. Take a walk on the beach, a stroll in the park, a ramble in the woods, a wander by the river or a saunter up the mountain.
You can't beat a little bit 'me time' every now & then
